Will Obama mention gun control in his State of the Union?
Wed Jan 19, 2011
I am opposed to gun control. What I am in favor of is psycho control and ammo control. If ammo makers don't make cop-killer bullets, the pyschos won't be able to buy cop-killer bullets. If pyschos can't purchase weapons, they won't be able to use them.
Was it appropriate for Alabama's new governor to say that only Christians are his brothers and sisters?

Don't his words say it all? He says himself that those who don't believe the same as he does are not worthy.
Dr. Laura: Calling me a racist is ‘absurd’

That Guy, Using it once is making a point. Using multiple time in succession is loutish and childish.
Dr. Laura: Calling me a racist is ‘absurd’

She may or may not be a racist. (We'll let her God judge that.) But what she is is a third-grader: "They use it, so I can too." She may as well throw in "Nyah! Nyah! Nyah!" and stick out her tongue, then run behind the teacher for protection. Maybe she should learn that two wrongs don't make a right.

Seems that conservs are the ones talking about mistrust of govt, blood, loading weapons, etc.
Conservatives scoff at attempted linkage to shooting
Mon Jan 10, 2011
Hey Stop: That was wrong too, but Rush and Glen and the rest live off of a steady diet of 'Don't trust the government'. Without hate, thier message is nothing. Obama uses such rhetoric once. Rush and Glen use it every weekday.
Conservatives scoff at attempted linkage to shooting

My heart goes out to Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh and the rest. They seem to feel that they need to defend themselves rather than mourn for those lost, and try to change to be more civil. Maybe it is because a more civil tone in political discussion would put them out of business.
Does heated political rhetoric contribute to violence against government officials?
Mon Jan 10, 2011
I give you Rush, Glenn Beck, Keith Olberman, etc. It lessens all of us.
Bloodshed puts new focus on vitriol in politics
Sun Jan 9, 2011
I guess this is what the right means when it says they want to 'take back the country'. It always amuses me that they talk like it was wrested from them by some un-constitutional, forcible means, when in reality they lost fairly due to the ineptness of their policies and leadership.
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona reportedly shot

Policies don't make policies. People make policies. (sound familiar?) And once again, a defender of the right-wing resorts to name-calling.
